Arne Slot’s full focus for the remainder of the season will be to bring the Premier League title back to Anfield.
The Reds are currently seven points clear of Arsenal at the top of the standings with Wednesday night seeing Liverpool travel to Aston Villa without Cody Gakpo or Joe Gomez.

Winning the Premier League would be an incredible achievement for Slot during his first season as head coach of the Merseyside club and it would give his squad a lift heading into the 2025/26 campaign.
The squad at Anfield will largely remain the same, however, James Pearce does expect changes at Liverpool during the summer.
The contract situations of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been well-documented, but they are not the only ones with expiring deals on the horizon.

The contracts situation at Liverpool is a mess
Liverpool’s immediate concern regarding contracts will be the trio of major stars out of contract this summer.
Fans are hopeful that all three can be resigned, however, Real Madrid are heavily pursuing Alexander-Arnold and there is a fear that the right-back could leave Anfield this summer.
In 2026, Liverpool are not expected to offer Andy Robertson a new deal when the Scottish star’s current contract expires; while PSG are interested in Ibrahima Konate as the French star has yet to agree new terms with the Reds.
The major worry for Liverpool is 2027 when a whole host of stars will see their deals expire at present. Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Conor Bradley, Harvey Elliott and Alisson are among the names whose contracts run out that year, which gives the Merseyside club a lot of work to do to get them renewed.
It is fair to say that Liverpool have made a bit of a mess of the contract situation at Anfield, but that was probably expected given all the changes behind the scenes ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
The futures of several players will be decided by simply leaving over the next two years, with two or three big names set for the exit door this summer.
Luis Diaz among several big-named players Liverpool could lose this summer
There are only a handful of players that have failed to step up this season and Darwin Nunez has been one of them.
The Uruguayan star has struggled since the arrival of Slot and that has led to interest in the striker. Saudi Arabia made a move for Nunez in January and the expectation is that clubs will return in the summer.
It has been suggested that Liverpool will not offer Luis Diaz a new contract when his current deal expires in 2027 as the Colombian star pushes closer to 30.
Barcelona are interested in Diaz and it will be interesting to see how Liverpool would approach a transfer if the La Liga giants come knocking.
Caoimhin Kelleher is also not expected at Liverpool next season as the goalkeeper seeks to be a number one elsewhere, while it remains to be seen if Brighton returns for Harvey Elliott.
