Despite their success so far this campaign, Liverpool could be in for a chaotic summer.

The contract situations of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been well-documented this season.

As we head into the final months of the season, however, none of those stars are yet to put pen to paper on a new deal at Anfield.

With so much uncertainty surrounding the Premier League leaders, Liverpool fans have recently been told who out of the three players is most likely to remain in Merseyside next season.

Liverpool fans told that Mohamed Salah ‘is more likely to go’

Having failed to secure contracts for their top stars, rival clubs are now lining up to sign Liverpool’s best with Salah attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.

Despite the Saudi rumours though, Salah has been tipped to sign a new deal in recent weeks, with a new Reds contract reportedly his main priority.

Sports lawyer Daniel Geey however has since provided a spanner in the works to those claims, saying that he believes the Egyptian is the most likely to leave out of the three Liverpool stars.

“I am a terrible betting man, but if I were to go, I would go with Van Dijk. I think Trent is 50/50. I think Salah is more likely to go,” Geey told The Overlap Fan Debate.

This will no doubt come as a blow to Liverpool supporters with Jamie Carragher echoing many fans’ feelings by saying, “I didn’t want to hear that.”

Paul Scholes says Salah and Van Dijk are ‘invaluable’ to Liverpool

Currently sat on simply staggering 37 goal contributions in 36 games, Salah’s exit would no doubt have huge effects on Liverpool’s success going forward.

Paul Scholes however believes Salah’s exit would also have big ramifications off the pitch as well.

“Even if their form does tail off a little bit in the next year or two years. The value they add to the club regarding bringing young players into it is still invaluable. You still probably get the value from that.

“You think of Van Dijk, when there is a young centre-half coming in thinking he is going to show me what to do. Salah I’m sure will help different young players coming in as well. So I still think there is more value than just the playing side of it.”
