Injuries are set to play a key role in the Premier League title race.
Arne Slot’s squad is currently in great shape with Joe Gomez the only big absence for Liverpool after the defender went off injured during the Reds’ defeat to Plymouth Argyle at the weekend.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has a minor issue, while Curtis Jones has been declared fit for Liverpool’s clash with Everton on Wednesday night.
The Reds’ title rivals, Arsenal, have not had the same luck when it comes to their fitness as the Gunners have been without their main man in Bukayo Saka since December.
Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli have since been added to the North London outfit’s injury list, and while away in Dubai, Mikel Arteta has received another major blow, which could play a major role in Liverpool winning the Premier League title.

Kai Havertz injury and Liverpool win could end Arsenal’s title hopes
Liverpool travel to Goodison Park on Wednesday night knowing that a win over Everton will increase their gap to Arsenal at the top of the Premier League to nine points.

That could be a killer blow to the Gunners’ title hopes and the news coming out of Dubai may have just ended any chance of the Arteta’s men clawing the Reds back.
According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Kai Havertz is set to miss the rest of the season after picking up a hamstring injury.
The incident occurred during Arsenal’s training camp and the German may require surgery to rectify the issue as his focus now turns to being fully fit for the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
This is a major blow to Arsenal given the other absentees in their forward line as it leaves Arteta short of options with some crucial games on the horizon.
Liverpool were linked to Kai Havertz before the forward moved to Chelsea in 2020 and the Merseyside club’s decision to pass on the German international is proving to be a good decision.
Liverpool made the correct Kai Havertz decision in 2020
Havertz was one of Europe’s hottest prospects at Bayer Leverkusen heading into 2020 and the German’s talent prompted Chelsea to make a move.
Liverpool were one of the clubs interested in the German star as the forward looked like the natural successor to Roberto Firmino in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
Things may have worked out differently for Havertz had he moved to Anfield as the 25-year-old’s career has yet to hit the heights it was expected to before moving to England.
Although he scored the winner in the 2021 Champions League final, Havertz failed to deliver at Chelsea and despite some positive moments at Arsenal, the German has had an underwhelming season at the Emirates Stadium and has struggled of late.
The last five years have justified Liverpool’s decision to not bring Havertz to Anfield but the German still has plenty of years to show the football world what he is all about.
