Liverpool’s next challenge in the Premier League is a tough trip to Everton.
The Reds travel to Goodison Park looking to put a nice gap between themselves and second-placed Arsenal knowing that a win will increase the points difference to nine.

The fixture is Liverpool’s game in hand after the original date for the fixture had to be changed due to stormy conditions in the Merseyside area at the start of December.
In hindsight, this has not worked out for Liverpool as Everton have since appointed David Moyes as their manager and have won their last three Premier League games.
Arne Slot also has injury issues to deal with and the Dutch coach has provided an update on the fitness of his squad.
Joe Gomez ruled out of Everton clash after worrying update
Throughout December, Joe Gomez proved that he could have a big role at Liverpool as the defender stepped up at the heart of the Reds defence.
Jamie Carragher described Gomez as ‘outstanding’ following his display at Tottenham but that was before the English star picked up an injury.
Gomez would come off against West Ham during the festive period with the hamstring injury ruling him out of action throughout January.
The 27-year-old captained Liverpool in their FA Cup clash against Plymouht on Sunday but that joy was short-lived as the centre-back left the pitch injured after 11 minutes.
Ahead Everton clash on Wednesday, Slot provided the press with a worrying update on Gomez with the Dutch coach admitting that the defender has injured the same leg as before.
“Joe, it’s the same leg again, where he had the injury last time. We are still assessing that, but he will definitely not be available tomorrow,” Slot said.
When asked if the injury being on the same leg was a concern, the Reds boss responded with: “That’s mostly a concern.”
Slot would also provide an update on Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of the Merseyside Derby as the right-back has yet to return to action since picking up an injury against Bournemouth.
Trent-Alexander Arnold remains a doubt for Liverpool
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been out of action for Liverpool ever since he picked up his injury issue against Bournemouth but there was hope that the defender would return to action for the Everton clash.
Alexander-Arnold could hold the key to victory for Liverpool against the Toffees on Wednesday but it remains uncertain if the right-back will be fit.
Slot told the press that the England international had trained with the rest of the squad on Monday but a final decision on his availability has yet to be made.
“Trent has done parts of training sessions with us. Not sessions, session yesterday,” the Dutch coach stated. “Let’s see how he is today. He will train with us again and then we have to decide if we take him to the game.”
It would be a huge boost for Liverpool should Alexander-Arnold be deemed fit to play as Wednesday’s clash with Everton could be crucial in the title race.
