Liverpool are on the lookout for a forward heading into the summer transfer window.
There is doubt about the future of several stars with Saudi Arabia showing interest in Darwin Nunez after making a move for the Uruguayan star in January.
It is also being suggested that Liverpool may not offer Luis Diaz a new contract when his current deal expires in 2027, which could lead to a switch ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Barcelona have a strong interest in Diaz but given their financial issues, it remains to be seen if the Catalan club can afford a move for the winger this summer.
The likelihood is that only one of these stars will leave Liverpool and should that happen, Arne Slot will need a replacement.
Matheus Cunha is one star linked to Liverpool but the Wolves forward may have just blown his chances of playing at Anfield next season.

Wolves star Matheus Cunha has blown Liverpool move
Arne Slot praised Cunha ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Wolves last month, which hinted that the Dutch coach is a fan of the Brazilian star.
Virgil van Dijk was also impressed by Cunha after facing the forward, labelling the 25-year-old as Wolves ‘danger man’, after the Premier League forward netted in the clash at Anfield.
The Brazilian is having an exceptional season at Wolves but despite this, clubs such as Liverpool may be turned off moving for the player after some of his behaviour this season.
Cunha was sent off at the weekend against Bournemouth in an FA Cup match after the Wolves star headbutted Milos Kerkez, behaviour Reds reporter David Lynch believes may have destroyed a switch to Anfield this summer.
“If they were considering it, I think that would have maybe kiboshed any chances of getting a move to Liverpool, because they are so big on character and mentality in the players that they sign,” Lynch said.
“To do that in the same season that you’ve kind of nicked someone’s glasses off their face in a post-match melee, it doesn’t look great does it? it doesn’t bode well for him as a character coming in and not causing issues within the squad.”
Lynch would continue by saying: “He’s shown that he’s capable of that before. Maybe it will make other clubs think twice, albeit, you know, he’s got a £60m release clause and he’s absolutely brilliant, so maybe it takes a risk but it’s not the kind of risk that Liverpool tend to take.”
This is not the first time Cunha has acted out this season, which is why Liverpool will certainly stay clear of the Brazilian ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Matheus Cunha’s nasty behaviour is a big concern
Back in December, Cunha was handed a two-game ban and fined £80,000 following an incident after the full-time whistle in a match against Ipswich Town.
The Brazilian star was involved in an altercation with a member of the Ipswich staff, in which the 25-year-old seemingly swiped at his face, pulling off his glasses.
Liverpool are known to do background checks on every player that they are interested in signing as the Merseyside club want to pick out behavioural patterns such as this.
This latest incident from Cunha will certainly have blown any chance of the Brazilian securing a move to Anfield this summer and it could potentially turn others off of the 25-year-old.
