The future of Mohamed Salah has led many to believe Liverpool may revamp their forward line.
With Salah’s Liverpool future still in doubt, the Reds are seemingly putting together a plan B if the Egyptian does leave Anfield this summer.
Liverpool have been linked with a whole host of attackers, with the most high profile of those links coming in the shape of a potential move for Alexander Isak.
Despite Newcastle valuing Isak at £150m, Liverpool’s interest in the striker hasn’t gone away, with Daniel Sturridge recently revealing why the Reds should sign the Swedish forward.

Daniel Sturridge lauds Liverpool target Alexander Isak
Theo Walcott claimed Isak would be ‘perfect’ for Liverpool and it seems like Sturridge agrees, having recently sung the praises of the Magpies forward.
Speaking on SkySports, before Newcastle’s clash with Nottingham Forest – the former Reds striker said:
“For me, I think he is the best all round. I think Haaland is a better goalscorer. But for me all-round, what he can do, manipulates the ball, goes 1v1. He can score his own goal if needs to and he can set his teams up as well.
“I think all-round the guy is a special football player. It will be interesting to see if he stays there next year because I think there are going to be some teams interested.”
Isak’s Nottingham Forest display sends message to Liverpool
The 25-year-old has been one of Europe’s hottest strikers this season, netting 19 Premier League goals so far this campaign.
Two of those goals would come in Newcastle’s 4-3 win over Nottingham Forest, with Isak’s performance providing Liverpool with yet another reminder of his talents.

With Darwin Nunez expected to leave Liverpool this summer, Arne Slot will no doubt be in the market for a new forward.
