There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Liverpool’s forward line in recent weeks.
Darwin Nunez was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia during the January transfer window as the Uruguay star continues to struggle at Anfield.
With a contract expiring on Merseyside in 2027, it is being suggested that Liverpool will not offer Luis Diaz a new deal as the Reds will eventually look to bring in a younger replacement for the Colombia international.
This comes amid continued speculation over the future of Mohamed Salah, as the Egyptian superstar is out of contract at the end of the season and an agreement over a new deal has yet to be reached.
This could prompt Liverpool to dip into the market during the summer to add another striker to their squad and there is one particular Premier League star that everyone is watching at present.

Alexander Isak’s Anfield feelings could aid Liverpool move
Alexander Isak has been on fire for Newcastle this season with the Swedish striker producing 19 goals and five assists across the 28 matches he has played for the Magpies this season.
This has attracted the attention of several clubs and Liverpool were linked to Isak last month along with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and PSG.
Newcastle sought £150m to part ways with their main man in January but that will likely be lowered for the summer window as the Tyneside club would have time to replace the Swedish forward.
Liverpool’s chances of signing the 25-year-old may be increased by the Newcastle stars’s previous comments about Anfield.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Isak stated that Anfield has the best atmosphere in the Premier League outside of St. James’ Park. “Anfield is good, it’s very good,” the Newcastle star said.
Theo Walcott has stated that Isak is a player Liverpool need as the 25-year-old is the “perfect” Premier League striker.
Liverpool will find it difficult to lure the Swedish star to Anfield this summer and if they do, the Newcastle star would be the ideal replacement for Nunez.

Alexander Isak would be the perfect Darwin Nunez replacement at Liverpool
Nunez was the subject of two bids from Al-Nassr during the January window with the last of those proposals believed to be in the region of £62.5m.
Should the Reds part ways with the Uruguayan star this summer for a fee in that region, it would be incredible business from the Merseyside club given the striker’s struggles.
That money would go a long way in helping the Reds sign Isak this summer, who trumps Nunez when it comes to technical ability.
| Darwin Nunez | Alexander Isak | |
| Games | 32 | 28 |
| Goals | 6 | 19 |
| Assists | 5 | 5 |
The Swedish international would fit perfectly into Slot’s current starting 11 as he can do everything needed from a striker. The 25-year-old can score goals himself and has the ability to drop deep to create for the likes of Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz.
A lot has to happen if Liverpool fans are to see Isak in a red shirt next season but should the Merseyside pursue the Newcastle star, they have a good chance of being successful.
