Arne Slot’s Liverpool side escaped a late scare to overcome Wolves in a 2-1 win.
Having seen their title rivals Arsenal close the gap to four points, Liverpool would have recognised the need for a victory.
The win was all that mattered for the Reds, Slot’s side however were far from their best, with the likes of Ibrahima Konate earning criticism from Jamie Carragher.
The Frenchman though hasn’t been the only Liverpool star to come under fire, with fans also highlighting Andy Robertson’s lacklustre display against Wolves.

Liverpool fans claim Andy Robertson should be replaced after Wolves display
Despite Slot being visibly frustrated with Robertson during the Merseyside derby, the Dutchman would hand the 30-year-old a start at left-back.
The Scotsman would struggle up against the Wolves attack at times, even after Robertson told the Anfield crowd to calm down.
Reds supporters have since honed in on the defender’s display, claiming it showcased why Liverpool need to upgrade at left-back in the summer.
One fan said (via X formerly Twitter): “Andy #Robertson has regressed to a level that he can’t start every game for #Liverpool. But this isn’t his fault, he has given us nearly a decade of performance.
It’s our management who didn’t sign decent backup of him and kept faith on Gomez whose injury record is awful.”
A third fan said: “Look at Andy Robertson, who should be a senior player, making rookie errors, game after game after game. Why are you the one always playing opponents inside, after a trap has been expertly set? Great servant over the years, but time to go!”
“I think today has officially confirmed that Andy Robertson has to be replaced in the summer, fantastic servant but he’s lost a yard of pace and is now a liability rather than a luxury,” added another supporter.
Liverpool need to sign Robertson replacement in the summer
The Scotsman has been no stranger to criticism this season after Carragher claimed Robertson is ‘playing too much’ and needed help in the January window.
The Reds however would decide against signing a new left-back, with the 30-year-old remaining Liverpool’s first-choice option.
One player who has been tipped to replace Robertson is Liverpool-linked Milos Kerkez – with the Bournemouth man potentially being an upgrade at full-back this summer.
| Premier League stats 24/25 | Andy Robertson | Milos Kerkez |
| Apps | 24 | 25 |
| Goals | 0 | 2 |
| Assists | 0 | 3 |
| Progressive passes | 134 | 111 |
| Expected assists | 3.2 | 1.8 |
| Tackles + interceptions | 47 | 63 |
| Ball recoveries | 82 | 112 |
Roberston still outweighs Kerkez in terms of the underlying attacking stats, but the Hungarian international could see his numbers skyrocket in a more possession-heavy side like Liverpool.
The stats show that despite playing in different systems, the pair profile quite similarly suggesting Kerkez could transition to Anfield life pretty quickly if a deal is struck.
