Liverpool endured a controversy-filled final visit to Goodison Park, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Everton.
Arne Slot’s sending-off and Curtis Jones’ brawl with Abdoulaye Doucoure may take the headlines, but one Liverpool player managed to leave their mark on Goodison Park – namely Mohamed Salah.
Having fallen behind to a sloppy Beto goal, Salah managed to get Slot’s side level, curling a beautiful cross to Alexis Mac Allister, who converted a ‘perfect’ header.
The Egyptian assist of course played a huge part in Liverpool’s comeback, but it also managed to break records in the process.

Mohamed Salah breaks Premier League away goal record
The 32-year-old’s goal and assist at Goodison was his 22nd and 14th of the Premier League season, putting him three ahead of Erling Haaland in the scoring charts.
That tally now means that Salah is the first player in Premier League history to be directly involved in 22 away goals in a single season.
The Egyptian’s assist for Mac Allister leapfrogged him ahead of former Man Utd striker Andy Cole, whose record of 21 had stood since 1993/94.
Salah would later grab himself a goal in the 73rd minute, meaning the record now stands at 23, with the Liverpool man expected to build on that tally as the season goes on.
Salah is chasing down Thierry Henry’s goal and assist record
Now on 14 assists for the season, many are starting to question whether Salah could break Theirry Henry’s iconic goal and assist record.
The Arsenal legend managed 24 goals and 20 assists in 2002/03, becoming the only player in Premier League history to manage 20+ goals and 20+ assists in a single season.
The 32-year-old is now only six assists away from that tally and Rio Ferdinand believes Salah can break the record with 14 games remaining.
| Premier League stats | Apps | Goals | Assists |
| Mohamed Salah 24/25 | 24 | 22 | 14 |
| Thierry Henry | 37 | 24 | 20 |
Henry, who is a big fan of Salah will no doubt hope the Liverpool man slows down for both his and Arsenal’s sake.
