It still baffles us when Mohamed Salah is overlooked as one of the best players in world football. Or even as one of the best players in the Premier League. The fact that he is, is outrageous. Salah is simply one of the best players to have ever played in the league.
The numbers reflect that as well. Salah scores goals and makes things happen on the pitch. He’s unique ability to win games single-handedly makes him such an important part of Liverpool’s recent past and present success.
But don’t just listen to us. It’s not just us signing his praises. Other professional footballers also recognise Salah’s special talent. Including Thierry Henry, who is also up there as one of the best players to have played in the Premier League.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Thierry Henry was full of praise for Mohamed Salah. The former Arsenal forward was also quick to highlight Salah’s creative qualities as well as his goal-scoring.
“This is something I always mention about players” Henry said. “Can you also assist? We all know that Ollie Watkins can score. We all know Mo Salah can score. It’s not the first time Mo Salah is on seven, eight or nine assists. But can you actually add something else to your game? Not only are you scoring, we all know you have that in your locker, but that impresses me.”
Salah can become only the fifth player in Premier League history this season to register 15 goals and 15 assists or more. He currently has 15 goals and nine assists for Liverpool.
When he first arrived at Liverpool, Salah was seen as just a pure goal-scorer. However, over the last couple of seasons his game has definitely become a bit more refined. He is now a fantastic creator as well, who conjures a lot of opportunities for his teammates. His assist count also reflects that.
It’s also why Liverpool so desperately need him back. Especially for the big game against Manchester City on Sunday.
