Exclusive with Graeme Bailey
Liverpool have had no contact with any of the Saudi Pro League sides about a January transfer for Darwin Nunez, Rousing The Kop understands.
There has been recent chatter that Nunez is a transfer target for Saudi clubs, with suggestions of a bid having been lodged from the Middle East.
However, sources have told RTK that no such contact has been made.
It’s understood that Nunez could be a target if he were to become available this month, but as things stand a January transfer is not expected to happen.

Darwin Nunez set to stay at Liverpool
Nunez has had a difficult season at Liverpool, often finding himself out of Arne Slot’s starting XI.
As a result, there have been strong claims that Liverpool are considering Nunez’s future at the club.
And although that is understood to be the case, RTK have been informed that a summer exit remains much more likely for the Uruguayan.
Should – as expected – Nunez become available at the end of the campaign, Saudi clubs are understood to be ready to make themselves available as an option.

Sources have indicated that it is expected to be a big summer for the SPL clubs, and that Nunez is the kind of profile who is set to be targeted.
However, RTK understands that Nunez also has a market in Europe and the forward will likely have a number of options to choose from while a stay at Liverpool can not yet be ruled out.
Liverpool bow out of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia chase
Liverpool are understood to be assessing the forward market should Nunez depart in 2025.
However, despite Liverpool weighing up a move for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, they have now bowed out of the race for the Georgian.
After PSG moved forward plans to sign Kvaratskhelia from Napoli this January, the Reds considered whether or not to make their own approach.
However, RTK understands that the decision was taken to stay out of the race, with Liverpool now accepting that they have missed their chance to land the 23-year-old.
