Liverpool are still yet to make a signing this summer as the new Premier League season creeps into view.
The Reds have had a good pre-season so far, winning three games out of three under new head coach Arne Slot.
However, as the clock ticks down on the start of the 2024/25 campaign, Liverpool supporters would love to see a signing or two.
There is a promise that Liverpool will do business, but with the full first-team squad set to meet up on Tuesday, there is still little sign of any concrete movement.
Nevertheless, there are plenty of rumours still doing the rounds. And legendary centre-back Jamie Carragher has now urged his former club to get one of those links over the line.

Jamie Carragher gives Anthony Gordon verdict
It has been claimed that Liverpool could sign up to four players in what is left of the transfer window.
Surprisingly, two of the players they are potentially slated to sign are ‘wide forwards.’ With five attackers already in Slot’s squad – all of whom can play wide – that feels like a strange one.
Despite that, it is also true that the strongest links of this summer for Liverpool have come to Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon.
The latest is that Gordon could still move to Liverpool before the end of the transfer window.
Gordon was offered to Liverpool for around £85m earlier in the summer, but the Reds were not doing business at that price.

Speaking to SPORTBible, though, Carragher has claimed that he’d love to see the former Everton man complete his move to Anfield.
“I think it would be a good signing for Liverpool, I’m a big fan,” says the Liverpool legend.
“I can’t believe he didn’t get more opportunities for England. He’s got blistering pace that leaves defenders for dead and not many players worldwide have that.
“I’m a big fan but I’m sure so many people are at other clubs as well, he’s at a top club in Newcastle but there’s been a lot of talk about whether he was offered to Liverpool.”
Will Liverpool sign Anthony Gordon?
At this juncture, we’re pretty sure many Liverpool fans will be feeling the same way as Carragher about Gordon.
The 23-year-old does feel like the kind of signing who could really go up a level with the Reds. In many ways, it could be a match made in heaven.
That doesn’t mean that a transfer is inevitable, though. Newcastle don’t want to lose Gordon all the signs are that they won’t let him go without a big old fight.
For that reason – and because of his astronomical cost – we can’t see the England international joining this summer.
We’d suggest that it’s more likely that Liverpool will go big on Gordon in 2025, when he has just one year left on his deal with Newcastle. There is still time for a big twist, though, and it sounds like Carragher would be delighted to see that happen.
