Liverpool incomings on Deadline Day
Liverpool have made a statement this deadline day in the business they have conducted, finally agreeing terms with Newcastle United for Alexander Isak.
The Swedish international had been subject to a transfer saga throughout the window, after he made it clear that he wished to leave the reigning Carabao Cup champions.
Liverpool and Newcastle finally agreed a deal worth £125 million, which is a British transfer record, for Isak to make the move to Anfield.
Meanwhile, Arne Slot also aimed to strengthen the options at the back, with Marc Guehi being the player they wanted, but the deal would ultimately fall through.
It was made clear that no deal would happen unless the London-based team signed a replacement for their captain.
Crystal Palace did announce the signing of Jaydee Canvot right at the end of deadline day, which may have helped Liverpool confirm Marc Guehi as a new signing, but David Ornstein has reported that he will still remain at the London club.

Liverpool outgoings on Deadline Day
It was always expected that, should the deal for Alexander Isak be completed, then the future of Harvey Elliott would be elsewhere.
Elliott only started two Premier League games for Liverpool last season, and it may have been expected that he would want away despite enjoying a successful period at Anfield.
The creative midfielder has joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan, with an obligation to buy at the end of it, worth a reported £35 million.
Meanwhile, there had been an agreement for Joe Gomez to sign for AC Milan; however, the deal fell through, and he will remain a Liverpool player until January at a minimum.
