The uncertain future of Mohamed Salah suggests Liverpool may have to dip into the forward market this summer.
As well as Salah’s contract situation, fellow attacker Darwin Nunez has also been rumoured to leave, with Saudi Arabian clubs eyeing up the Uruguayan.
With this in mind, the Reds are seemingly already lining up a number of attacking replacements, with the likes of Nico Williams high on Liverpool’s radar.
Williams though won’t come cheap, so FSG may be tempted to go for a cut-price option instead – luckily for them there seems to be one on the market.

Bayern Munich ‘willing’ to sell Liverpool summer target Kingsley Coman
Liverpool’s search for attacking reinforcements went down to the last few days of the window last summer, after Federico Chiesa joined the Reds for £10m.
The Italian, however, may not have even ended up at Anfield, if the Reds had chosen their other forward option, as Liverpool targeted a late move for Kingsley Coman.
With Chiesa failing to impress at Liverpool, FSG may be tempted to rekindle their interest in Coman after it was reported that Bayern Munich would be willing to sell the Frenchman this summer.
That is according to BILD, who claim the German giants are keen to sell the winger in order to generate money, with the attacker likely to be available for a cut-price fee.
Bayern were reportedly wanting a fee in the region of £60m back in April 2024, but that figure has since fallen to around £30m – a fee which has alerted Arsenal and could even tempt Arne Slot this summer.

Coman injury record may deter Liverpool from move
Having scored the winning goal in the Champions League final back in 2020, Coman’s talent and ability will be recognised across Europe – shown by Arsenal’s interest in the Frenchman.
Something that may deter clubs from making a move, however, is the attacker’s patchy injury record.
Coman for example has missed a total of 48 games since the start of the 21/22 season – an injury record that could potentially dent his hopes of landing a top move.
With the likes of Diogo Jota and Chiesa being no stranger to injuries, Liverpool won’t want another injury-prone forward in their ranks – suggesting it may be wise for the Reds to stay away from this deal.
