Liverpool have made late moves in the summer transfer window by signing Federico Chiesa and Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Chiesa signed for €13million (£10.95million) plus add-ons, with the attacker agreeing a four-year contract at Liverpool.
Mamardashvili meanwhile has been sent back on loan to Valencia, and will join Arne Slot at Anfield next summer.
Chiesa is, therefore, the biggest cause of excitement among Liverpool fans at this moment in time, as is often the case with a new attacking player.
He will, however, need time to get up to speed on Merseyside, with Chiesa unlikely to play against Manchester United.

John Barnes amazed by Federico Chiesa’s deal at Liverpool
But many Anfield icons are delighted with the arrival of the Italian, with Steven Gerrard excited about Chiesa’s signature.
His fellow Liverpool legend John Barnes has now shared his thoughts on the deal, saying on talkSPORT (30 August, 8.39am): “It is good business, fantastic business because he is not old, £10-12million.

“Football amazes me. You hear people costing £80million, £90 million, and then you get someone like Chiesa for £10million, £12million or whatever it is. It’s a great signing for Liverpool, absolutely, because you saw him in the Euros, he is an exciting player.”
FSG surely delighted with Liverpool business this summer
Liverpool have proven over the years that they can be very smart in their transfer dealings, with Chiesa’s signature another to add to the list.
Fenway Sports Group (FSG) don’t like to splash the cash as much as other Premier League clubs, with the owners certainly more shrewd with their business dealings.

This summer has been no different, with impressive amounts of money secured for the sales of fringe players.
Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg have left for Brentford for significant fees, with the Reds also offloading young midfielder Bobby Clark to Red Ball Salzburg.
Liverpool even received a sell-on fee after former player Dominic Solanke joined Tottenham Hotspur from Bournemouth.
