Liverpool are seemingly planning for life without Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the defender’s future at Anfield still up in the air.
Recent months have seen the Reds be linked with a whole host of right-backs as they look to find the perfect Alexander-Arnold replacement.
Chelsea’s Malo Gusto is reportedly on Liverpool’s radar, meanwhile, the Reds are also interested in Joshua Kimmich.
The latest of Liverpool’s right-back targets though comes in the shape of Feyenoord’s Givairo Read.
Liverpool are said to be targeting Read, with a potential summer swoop for the young Dutchman on the cards.
With that being said, the defender is relatively unknown outside of his native Netherlands – so Rousing The Kop thought it would be worthwhile taking a closer look at the possible Alexander-Arnold replacement.

The Dutchman primarily plays as a right-back but he can also deputise on the other flank as a left-back.

Givairo Read style of play
When asked about his main strength, Read said: “Attacking is one of my greatest qualities, so I always try to bring that to the team. I used to be a striker, so I owe my technique and quick footwork to that,” via ESPN.
Read’s attacking strengths will likely stem from the fact he played as a winger growing up, which is shown by his quality on the ball.
Despite his attacking background, the Dutchman is also solid defensively – as shown by his impressive performance against AC Milan’s Rafael Leao in the Champions League playoffs.
Still just 18 years old, Read has a lot more room to improve and what better way to learn your craft than to play alongside the likes of Virgil van Dijk?
