Liverpool host Wolves at Anfield on Sunday as the Reds look to bounce back from the Merseyside Derby.
Arne Slot’s men received a devasting blow as James Tarkowski scored in added time to steal a point for Everton, leaving Liverpool’s gap at the top of the Premier League at seven.

This was not the only talking point from the game as Liverpool’s Curtis Jones and Abdoulaye Doucoure got involved in a scuffle after the full-time whistle after the Everton star celebrated in front of the away end.
This resulted in Arne Slot and his assistant Sipke Hulshoff also being dismissed by Michael Oliver, with the Dutch coach still waiting to find out his punishment.
Jones, however, knows his faith and will miss Liverpool’s clash with Wolves. Ahead of that match at Anfield, Slot has made his feelings about the midfielder’s actions after the full-time whistle clear.

Curtis Jones set for talks with Liverpool boss Arne Slot
Jones made an impact for Liverpool off the bench against Bournemouth recently and had the same effect against Everton on Wednesday night.
Jones’ role in Mohamed Salah’s goal impressed Ally McCoist and the midfielder’s absence for the Reds’ match with Wolves will be seen as a blow given the part he has played in recent results.
Fans of the Merseyside club loved what the 24-year-old did for them when standing up to Doucoure, even if it made him unavailable for Sunday’s game at Anfield.
This is a view Slot shares as the Dutch coach told the media on Friday during his press conference that he liked how his player stood up for the fans and his team in the aftermath of the Everton game.
“I like a lot that he stands up for our team and our fans but there are other ways to do that,” the Dutch coach said. “I will talk to him about that. But it’s the same for me, I should have acted differently as well.”
Slot admitted that he could also be without Cody Gakpo for Liverpool’s clash with Wolves and explained whether Jones would have played against the Midlands club had he been available for selection.
Arne Slot shares thoughts on the performance of Curtis Jones vs Everton
Slot is one of many associated with Liverpool who has noticed the impact Jones has been making off the bench for the Reds recently and the Dutch coach was revealed that he liked the midfielder’s performance a lot at Goodison Park.
Speaking about whether the 24-year-old would have played against Wolves, the Liverpool boss stated: “He is only back from an injury so he has missed a few games, I planned on starting him against Plymouth but he had not completely recovered yet.
“I liked him a lot when he came in [against Everton], very good half hour, I think it was the best part of our game,” Slot would go on to say.
It is a blow for Jones that his momentum will be halted by his suspension and only time will tell how big a miss the midfielder will be on Sunday as Liverpool look to get back on track against Wolves.
