Liverpool are set for a quiet transfer deadline day, yet that doesn’t mean zero business will be concluded today.
Kaide Gordon is set to join Portsmouth on loan with the Liverpool academy star ready for his second move of the season having returned to Anfield earlier this month after an unsuccessful spell with Championship side Norwich City.
Another player who is expected to leave today is Jayden Danns, with Sunderland interested in signing the youngster on loan just a few days after the striker made Liverpool history in the UEFA Champions League against PSV Eindhoven.
Despite Sunderland’s interest, a second Championship team are now interested in signing Danns, who could have a big decision to make in the coming hours with a loan move now on the table for the teenager.

Hull City enter the race to sign Jayden Danns on loan
According to BBC Sport’s James Fletcher, Hull City have joined the race to sign Danns on loan, with the journalist posting on Twitter: “Understand Hull City have entered the race to sign Jayden Danns from Liverpool. But as below the tigers need to fight off championship competition.”
Danns is one of four Liverpool players who were expected to leave on loan before today’s deadline, with the 19-year-old striker unlikely to get more first-team opportunities between now and the end of the season with so much on the line for the Reds.
With Danns impressing Robbie Fowler after scoring against Accrington Stanley, the attacker has shown he is ready for a loan move this window and a real first taste of professional football, with the Championship a perfect league for the striker.
And with Hull now in the mix for Danns, Liverpool know they have a perfect club to send the forward to, with the Tigers showing in recent years how good they can be at developing Premier League talent, especially those from the Anfield side.
Hull’s success with Liverpool loans should excite Danns
Whether or not Danns will join Hull remains to be seen, yet the Championship side have more than shown Liverpool that they are an ideal club for the Reds to send their biggest and best talents to develop.
Last season saw Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho excel with the North Yorkshire side, with Hull now interested in re-signing the Liverpool midfielder on loan, another deal that could possibly happen before tonight’s deadline.
Indeed, Hull have a good relationship with Liverpool after their recent success stories, and Danns should be excited about the potential prospect of joining the Tigers if an agreement can be reached in the coming hours.
