Liverpool talent Kaide Gordon set to join Portsmouth on loan
According to the Athletic, Kaide Gordon is set to join Pompey on loan for the remainder of the season, with the England youth international returning to Liverpool this month after an unsuccessful loan spell at Norwich City.
Gordon was hailed by coach Barry Lewtas as a ‘phenomenal’ talent having made quite a name for himself at the Liverpool academy after joining from Derby County, though the 20-year-old winger has been hampered with injuries in recent seasons.
Heading out on loan to Norwich was viewed as a positive step in the right direction for Gordon’s development, with the winger showing with his limited minutes with Liverpool’s first-team that he has the potential to become a top player at the highest level.
And joining Portsmouth could provide just that for the youngster, who will be itching to get back out there having returned to Liverpool this month with Fratton Park proving to be a good ground for Premier League youngsters to hone in on their talents.
