Alexander-Arnold impressed as England beat Finland 3-1 on Sunday, with the Liverpool star scoring a superb free-kick.
The Man of the Match award went his way after the Nations League victory, with Alexander-Arnold handed the honour in all three of Lee Carsley’s wins as England interim manager.
Arne Slot loves having Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool, with the academy graduate having also impressed at club level this season.
But making his England feats more impressive has been his versatility, with the right-back played at left-back against Finland.

“Thank you guys,” he said. “Another one. I had to switch up the trophy room the other day, last camp, and now I’m going to have to open it up again. I’m going to knock a wall down. I appreciate it, thank you very much. Good win, good goal.”
Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold explains goal celebration
It seemed like there was only going to be one outcome when Alexander-Arnold stepped over the ball in the 74th minute.
That is certainly the view of the player himself, who explained: “The goal speaks for itself. I just thought hit it as well as I can, keeper was big, only a three man wall as well. I knew what I was going to do as soon as Jude [Bellingham] won it.”
Alexander-Arnold will now return to Anfield on a huge high after another strong international break on an individual level.
England did, however, lose their first match 2-1 to Greece, with the visitors producing a huge shock at Wembley.
But Alexander-Arnold helped them bounce back against Finland, with the Liverpool ace also explaining his celebrations after firing his free-kick home.
“The A is obviously for my niece, I think people know that now,” he added. “The shrug, that’s just what I do. The handshake is the handshake, that’s a clean handshake. Good day at the office.”
