With another international break inserting a pause into the season, there has been plenty of transfer talk on the agenda for Liverpool.
The Reds are currently on a six-game winning run under Arne Slot and will be keen to take their good form into the other side of the break.
In the meantime, though, talk has turned in some areas to how Slot can improve his Liverpool squad in the upcoming January transfer window.
With that in mind, the Reds continue to be linked with all manner of players. There have been reports that Omar Marmoush is very much on Liverpool’s radar, for example, as Slot tries to get a jump on replacing Mohamed Salah.
One position where the Liverpool head coach has already put a succession plan in place has been the goalkeeping department.
But despite the fact that Giorgi Mamardashvili will arrive at Anfield in 2025, there are now claims that Liverpool could pursue yet another goalkeeper, too.

Liverpool in contact over Mile Svilar move
There are high hopes that Mamardashvili can be the ideal successor for Alisson Becker at Liverpool.
While the Georgian certainly has big gloves to fill, Alisson’s latest injury has underlined the importance his arrival at the club could have in 2025.
In the meantime, Liverpool are set to miss Alisson for seven games, with Caoimhin Kelleher the man who will step in for now.
Kelleher has made it clear that he’d like to leave Liverpool, though, and even with Mamardashvili joining, the Reds may need a new number two in the not too distant future if Alisson goes on to leave as well.
Although that does still seem some way off, AS Roma Live have reported that Liverpool are keeping a close eye on the situation of Mile Svilar anyway.

Svilar has reportedly been in really good form for Roma this season and while the Italian side are said to be keen on tying him to a new deal, it is claimed that a move away is also a possibility.
As a result, Liverpool and Newcastle are both said to have been in contact about a potential deal for Svilar. ‘Preliminary information’ has reportedly been requested to find out what Roma would be asking for to sell the 25-year-old.
The answer to that question is claimed to be between £29-£33m, although the price could reportedly still rise if Svilar’s good performances continue.
Manchester City are another side said to be keeping tabs on the Serbia international, although for his part the player is claimed to be happy in Rome.
Liverpool do not need Mile Svilar
It is good to see that Svilar has found a home for himself at Roma. After coming through at Benfica as a young goalkeeper, the Belgian born shot-stopper has since had a stop-start career.
Jose Mourinho called Svilar ‘phenomenal‘ after the then 18-year-old made an error for Benfica against Man United, then managed by Mourinho back in 2017.
But while Svilar looked set for a long career as a top ‘keeper, he has only played 57 games in the seven years since.
30 of those were for Roma last season and after Rui Patricio left for Atalanta over the summer, Svilar has now taken on the number one shirt full-time.
Despite his return to form, though, there is simply no need for Liverpool to be in for Svilar. With Alisson, Mamardashvili and for however long Kelleher is around for, the Reds could not be better stocked.
