Liverpool enjoyed themselves at Old Trafford on Sunday, beating Manchester United 3-0.
The Reds headed into the game in good form, having won their first two games of the season in the Premier League.
But facing their biggest rivals on their own patch is a whole different kettle of fish. It was a big test for Liverpool.
In the end, it was one which the Reds – and head coach Arne Slot – passed with flying colours.
For Slot, it was an absolutely enormous moment. The Dutchman has handled the transition from Jurgen Klopp even better than could ever have been hoped at Anfield.

Arne Slot details tactical change
Part of the reason Slot has done so well in the early part of his reign is that he is clearly a very, very astute tactician.
Klopp was too, of course. However, the German’s biggest quality was always in his man management. At times, Klopp was left slightly wanting tactically.
So far, the same cannot be said about Slot. Although certainly lacking the charisma of Jurgen, the 45-year-old is obviously extremely good on the training pitch.
Sunday’s win over Man United was another good example of that, as the Reds comfortably beat United.
After the game, Sky Sports asked Slot exactly how he masterminded the win over Liverpool’s biggest rivals with such ease.
And although keen to keep feet on the ground, the former Feyenoord boss did detail a change he actively decided to make with Dominik Szoboszlai.
“The game plan was more when we had the ball. where normally in the last two games Dominik Szoboszlai played more from the right, today we played him from the left,” said Slot.
“But without the ball we always try and press as high as we can.”
Szoboszlai slammed by Carragher and Neville
This was just a little change from Slot, but it was clear that there was good reason for it.
And it’s fair to say that after such a resounding win, it certainly paid off. Szoboszlai was part of a Liverpool midfield that Gary Neville says ‘absolutely destroyed’ Man United on Sunday.
The £60m was a big part of that, as he hassled, harried and showed the quality on the ball to pick up an assist for Mohamed Salah.
However, it was not all good from Szoboszlai. Neville and Jamie Carragher slammed Szoboszlai for what they saw as ‘unprofessional’ behaviour as he missed a good opportunity at 3-0 up.
Nevertheless, it was generally a really good performance from the Hungarian and one which promises much for the season.
