What Trent Alexander-Arnold was spotted doing to the Liverpool fans after beating Man United 3-0

Liverpool are celebrating on Sunday evening after a terrific 3-0 win over Manchester United.

The Reds headed into the game on the back of two wins out of two in the Premier League and have looked excellent so far.

However, a trip to Old Trafford is a big, big test for any Liverpool manager and Arne Slot was supposed to be no different.

As it turned out, Slot and his team made light work of the Red Devils. A 3-0 win and in the end it could easily have been more.

Having had a difficult time of it at Old Trafford last season, Liverpool fans certainly enjoyed their win. And on the pitch after the game, Trent Alexander-Arnold appeared to be loving it, too.

Trent Alexander-Arnold celebrates Liverpool win

Alexander-Arnold thought he had put Liverpool into an early lead on Sunday, but saw his goal chalked off for offside.

Nevertheless, Trent’s celebration – a knee slide and kiss on the camera that mimicked a certain Steven Gerrard – showed that he was in the mood at Old Trafford.

In the end, the 25-year-old was perhaps a little off his game. Slightly erratic with his passing and a bit too easy to beat in defence, he wasn’t at his best.

Despite that, Alexander-Arnold rightfully ended up on the winning team. As the only Scouser in the team on Sunday, it will have meant that much more to him.

And as the Sky Sports cameras picked up after the game, Trent certainly showed that to be true.

Fist pumping in front of the Liverpool end at full-time, the right-back held three fingers up as the supporters audibly go wild.

Alexander-Arnold then blew three kisses to the crowd as he beamed a smile towards them. The Scouser in our team.

No Brentford hangover for Alexander-Arnold

All of the talk last week was about how Alexander-Arnold looked disappointed to be taken off when 2-0 up against Brentford.

Trent was wonderful that day but was clearly upset about Slot’s decision to take him off with 20 minutes or so to go.

Despite that reaction, the head coach did exactly the same thing at Old Trafford. This time, Alexander-Arnold was all smiles.

And as the full-back showed after the game, there was absolutely no hangover from the incident at Anfield last week.

A full 90 minutes is still evading Alexander-Arnold, but as his contract continues to run down, he still looks happy to be at home.
