Liverpool are getting closer to finalising their squad for the first half of the season as the transfer deadline closes in.
The Reds had looked like they may dip into the market one last time heading into Friday, with defensive midfielder and centre-back still an issue.
However, with time now quickly running out, it is starting to seem unlikely that Liverpool will do anything in terms of incomings.
The same perhaps cannot be said for players going out of the Anfield exit door, however. Nottingham Forest are pushing to sign Caoimhin Kelleher and that is certainly one to keep an eye on.
Along with a potential departure for Kelleher, though, there may also be a number of Liverpool players heading out on-loan. One such deal has already been announced with plenty of time to spare.

Liverpool players react to Calum Scanlon loan
The loan market has seemed a little more subdued than usual for Liverpool this summer. But it could still be that a few things get sorted out before 11pm on Friday.
Ben Doak reportedly has seven loan offers and it would be a surprise if the winger did not move on before the end of deadline day.
Nat Phillips is another who will surely find himself a club, while Kaide Gordon has been linked with a temporary exit, too.
One academy player who no longer has to worry about where he’ll be playing this season is left-back Calum Scanlon.

Scanlon joined Championship side Millwall on Thursday in what is a decent looking move for him. Taking to Instagram, the 19-year-old said he was ‘buzzing’ to be joining.
There were Liverpool players in the comments, with Gordon replying with some flame emojis and Cody Gakpo wishing Scanlon ‘good luck.’
Tyler Morton weighed in with ‘all the best mate,’ while now former Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark wrote ‘Let’s go brother ur [sic] time.’
Does Calum Scanlon have a Liverpool future?
As is the story with so many Liverpool youngsters right now, Scanlon was actually brought to the club from elsewhere. The defender arrived in 2020 from Birmingham as a 15-year-old.
Liverpool would not have signed Scanlon if they did not think he could make it into the first-team and he showed his promise with two appearances last season.
There is a potential spot at left-back opening up for the Reds in the next year or two, as Andy Robertson starts to wind down.
Liverpool are well-stocked in terms of potential academy successors, with Luke Chambers and Owen Beck also in the mix.
Chambers in out on loan in League One this season, while Beck joins Scanlon in the Championship. It will be interesting to see which of the trio stakes the best claim to put themselves next in line.
Good luck, Calum!
