Liverpool’s squad is far from being set in stone as the transfer window ticks into its final two weeks.
The Reds have so far failed to add a single player this summer, as speculation continues to swirl that a number of current stars could leave.
Liverpool are in talks to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili and it remains to be seen whether the choose to buy in other areas, too.
In the meantime, the exit door could also get some use at Anfield, with the possibility that players such as Sepp van den Berg could leave.
After all the usual rumours and conjecture, though, the real business is finally set to back underway for Liverpool. Premier League football is back and Arne Slot has been looking ahead to Saturday’s game with Ipswich Town.

Arne Slot rules out Luis Diaz sale
Although Slot was keen to focus on the football during his pre-Ipswich press conference, the Dutchman could not escape the transfer questions.
And after confirming that sporting director Richard Hughes is continuing to look at ways of strengthening the Liverpool squad with new players, Slot was also asked about a potential departure.
Luis Diaz has been linked with an exit from Liverpool all summer long. The most recent reports claim that Barcelona are prepared to spend £51m to sign Diaz.
However, the Colombian shone during his first pre-season outing with the Reds last weekend, scoring twice against Sevilla.

Slot sticking Diaz in from the start against the Spanish side despite his late return to training suggested that he is a fan of the former Porto man.
And asked about speculation on Diaz’s future, Slot was keen to outline that he sees the 27-year-old as being a big part of the team.
“His future is with us because I like a lot what I’ve see in the last 10 days and I saw the same last season,” answered the Liverpool head coach.
“He’s had a big impact on Liverpool seasons and I’m hoping he has a big impact on this season, too.”
Luis Diaz set for key Liverpool role
With his future now hopefully put to bed, Diaz can focus on making it his best season at Liverpool yet.
Despite it now being two-and-a-half years since the Reds signed him for £50m, there is a feeling that the Colombia international is still yet to fully get going with Liverpool.
A lightning first half-season was followed with a campaign that was ruined by injury. And although he did really well in parts last term, Diaz was not quite the same player we’d initially seen.
Now injury-free for a full year and coming off the back of a good Copa America, Liverpool’s No.7 is looking like being in a really good place.
Cody Gakpo is set to play left-wing for the Reds this season, too, but if Diaz can keep on impressing Slot, then the shirt is his to lose.
