Liverpool manager Arne Slot is doing his utmost to get his new group of players ready for the new season.
Slot is plotting two new signings at Liverpool as the Dutchman looks to strengthen his squad in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have largely focused on outgoings so far this summer, with players having left upon the expiry of their contracts and others having been sent out on loan.
Phil Thompson says Slot has transformed Mohamed Salah, with the winger among those impressing in pre-season.
And Slot has also been impressing, picking up wins against Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United in his first three matches in charge.

It is, of course, all about the present for the new Anfield man, but many supporters have been curious to analyse Slot’s history.
BBC Sport has focused on his final season at Feyenoord, comparing the boss with the four other new Premier League managers.

Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca is also new to the league, as are Southampton’s Russell Martin, Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna and Brighton’s Fabian Hurzeler.
And much to the delight of Liverpool fans, Slot ranks joint-highest for goals scored and lowest for goals conceded.
His side scored 92 times, level with McKenna’s Ipswich, followed by Maresca (89), Martin (87) and Hurzeler (62).
As for goals conceded, Slot’s Feyenoord let in just 26, followed by Hurzeler (36), Maresca (41), McKenna (57) and Martin (63).
How does Arne Slot rank for possession and passes per game?
The difficulty of the respective leagues and indeed the squad that the managers were operating with must, of course, be considered.
The Liverpool faithful will also be eager to predict how much of the ball the Reds are likely to see under their new leader.

Slot sits second in the list for possession last season with 62.28, with Martin’s Southampton leading the way with 66.14.
Maresca is just behind the Dutchman with 62.26, with Hurzeler and McKenna in fourth and fifth respectively with 57.16 and 52.87 respectively.
The Saints also top the list for passes per game with 667, followed by Maresca’s 623 at Leicester City, who won the Championship last season.
Feyenoord managed 564 under Slot, with German second-tier club St Pauli averaging 534 under Hurzeler, as Ipswich averaged 479 under McKenna.
