Liverpool reportedly want all three of the best prospects in world football. Goal released their annual list earlier today.

Goal released their annual NXTGen list on Tuesday, rating the best 50 prospects in world football. Liverpool boast two players on the list, too – Harvey Elliott at no.5 and Kaide Gordon at no.40.

That’s pretty good going, particularly for Elliott. The midfielder is quite clearly one of the biggest young talents around and it’s great to see that recognised.

But those two aren’t the only names on the list relevant to Liverpool. In fact, the Reds reportedly want to sign each of the top three on this list. Let’s hope they get their way.

3. Gavi

Spanish journalist Gerard Romeo recently claimed on his Twitch stream that Liverpool want Gavi. He then backed that up on his Twitter account.

Gavi is a particularly interesting one as he’s exploded onto the scene this season but his contract expires in 2023. Barcelona desperately need to secure his signature or risk losing him soon. Mundo Derportivo claim he has a £42m release clause until June 30th – Liverpool could well pay it.

We think the Spaniard would be an incredible signing. Perhaps one that actually benefits Elliott.

2. Florian Wirtz

This season started with a lot of hype around Wirtz. Sportbild were just one outlet reporting that Liverpool wanted the prospect – and why wouldn’t they?

He’s been absolutely electric this season, with 10 goals and 14 assists across the Bundesliga and Europa League. Those are incredible stats for a teenager.

In fact, per FBref, only two players across Europe’s top-five leagues are involved in creating more goals per 90 than Wirtz. He’s an unbelievable talent and one Liverpool should be pushing for.

1. Jude Bellingham

Bellingham is unquestionably a sensational prospect and one Liverpool will be desperate to have. The Mirror reported last year that they hoped to sign the midfielder and we can’t imagine that interest has disappeared.

The Borussia Dortmund man can do it all and if Liverpool can sign Bellingham, they absolutely should. We’ve said before that they could justify him as their first £100m transfer, in fact.

That’s something we stand by for someone considered the best youngster in world football right now.
