Liverpool host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this Sunday afternoon.
The Reds are set to face Spurs for the first time since the two clubs competed in the Champions League final in June.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been poor so far this season and find themselves with just 12 points after nine games.
The North London club will be hoping to continue their mid-week form which saw them thrash Red Star Belgrade 5-0.

Goalkeeper – Alisson Becker
The Brazilian is back fit and continues as the Liverpool number one. Since returning to the side Alisson has failed to keep a clean sheet, he’ll want to put that right against Spurs.
Right back – Trent Alexander-Arnold
Trent Alexander-Arnold should return to the side this weekend. The defender missed the midweek trip to Genk through illness but is expected to recover in time for Sunday’s game.
Centre back – Dejan Lovren
Jurgen Klopp seemed unsure about Joel Matip’s fitness during his pre-match press conference. The Cameroonian international missed Wednesday’s match in Belgium with a knock to his knee. Liverpool are unlikely to risk him, and instead provide Dejan Lovren with a second start in a week.
Centre back – Virgil van Dijk
Liverpool’s colossus in defence will take up his usual spot on the left side of the Reds’ centre back duo.
Left back – Andy Robertson
The left back only played 60 minutes in Genk causing concerns over a potential injury. In reality the Liverpool boss just wanted to rest the Scottish full back in preparation for Sunday’s game.
Defensive midfield – Fabinho
One of the first names on the team sheet. Fabinho was the only midfielder to retain his place after a disappointing performance against Manchester United. He’ll once again start in the centre of Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Centre midfield – Jordan Henderson
Our captain will return against Tottenham. This is a massive game and will have a huge impact on our season. These are the moments you want your captain to lead the team to victory.
Centre midfield – Gini Wijnaldum
The Dutch midfielder will complete Liverpool’s midfield three. Despite the impressive displays of both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Kieta. Liverpool need to win this game and this reliable midfield trio are our best bet at doing that.
Right wing: Mo Salah
The Egyptian king returned to action in fine form against Genk this week. Mo Salah scored one and assisted another in Liverpool 4-1 away win. He was sorely missed against Manchester United last weekend and Liverpool fans will be glad to see him back in Premier League action.
Left wing: Sadio Mane
Another player back to his best during the week. Sadio Mane got a goal for himself against Genk. He’ll be happy to return to the left wing where he has played some phenomenal football in the past two years.
Striker: Roberto Firmino
The Brazilian will want to bounce back from criticism he faced after his performance last week. Liverpool’s most used player under Juregn Klopp is the heartbeat of this side.
