Liverpool fans put forward seven alternative options to Bradley Barcola as winger plans take a hit

You would think Liverpool signing a Mohamed Salah replacement would have been sorted by now, but the Reds are having a very tough time adding another right-sided forward to their ranks.

For months it seemed like Yan Diomande was joining, but it then emerged that PSG were leading the race for the Ivorian.

However, that transfer saga has now taken another twist, as Real Madrid have joined the race for Diomande, which could in turn see another Liverpool target, Bradley Barcola, stay with the Parisian outfit.

So, with it now looking more likely that the Merseyside outfit won’t get either Diomande or Barcola, fans have been debating which winger their club should actually sign.

How high should Liverpool go to sign Bradley Barcola from PSG?

Maybe Liverpool would be better off signing two or three €50m players…

Liverpool fans name winger targets amid Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola problems

Plenty of attackers have been mooted by supporters, including Rodrygo of Real Madrid.

Just some of the names suggested can be seen below:

• “Let’s sign Akliouche, Antonio Nusa or Alisson of Napoli”
• “I pray Liverpool signs Rodrygo from Madrid”
• “We should go for Minteh and Rayan. Both have Premier League experience and would cost less.”
• Rayan. I know Bournemouth don’t want to let him go, but he should have been our top target from the start”
• “Minteh for 80 mill who will deliver a masterclass with 2 goals and 3 assists next season”
• “Rayan will cost less and has more potential”
• “William Gomez from FC PORTO!!!!!”

Of those names, Maghnes Akliouche has been the most heavily linked in recent days.

It was suggested that Liverpool made a bid for the AS Monaco and France star, but it remains to be seen if he will join.

Akliouche named his dream transfer destination long before interest from the Reds emerged, and he did not want to play in England.

Instead, it was thought that he was open to joining FC Barcelona after featuring for Monaco.

Elsewhere, after he was mentioned several times by fans, we know that Rayan’s £130m release clause triggers in January, but that does not really help Liverpool when it comes to signing a Salah replacement ahead of 2026/27.
