It is not surprising to see Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott being mooted to make a move to Anfield this summer.
Andoni Iraola has taken over from Arne Slot after an excellent campaign with the Cherries, which saw them secure Europa League football.
Scott was linked to Liverpool around the same time that the Spaniard made his move official, but at this stage, the midfielder does not appear to be high on the list of transfer targets on Merseyside.

Liverpool sources not saying much about signing Alex Scott
Speaking to Anfield Index, Lewis Steele was asked: “Heard anything on this one at all?”
To which the journalist responded: “Not really, to be honest, on Alex Scott?
“Not really as much as I have on the other names that are linked. Doesn’t mean that obviously he’s not interested, but you know, I think he is a talented lad. Was part of that group that was with England, with Rio, and these sorts of people.
“Yeah, I’ve watched Alex Scott for a few years when he was at, I interviewed him when he was at Bristol City back in the day, and he is really, really good. I think he’s got a high ceiling, but yeah, I’m not sure on that one just yet.”
Fans probably shouldn’t be too shocked by that update, given that it does kind of feel like Scott was only linked because Iraola is now the manager.
However, Liverpool do still want to sign a midfielder and have been making calls in recent days, as Fabrizio Romano recently explained.
He said: “Liverpool, in midfield, there could be movements at Liverpool. I will not be surprised if Liverpool go for a new midfielder in the summer transfer window.
“It’s a possibility Liverpool are making some calls for midfielders over the recent days and weeks. So I expect movement at Liverpool in terms of midfielders.”
Aside from Scott, we know that Adam Wharton is a dream target, but he also has interest from other Premier League sides, while Crystal Palace would like to agree a fresh contract with the Englishman.
