Liverpool’s latest transfer round-up is almost entirely about attackers as Andoni Iraola starts shaping the squad he wants at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah’s exit means a right-sided forward remains a priority, and interest in Francisco Trincao appears to be sticking despite the push for Yan Diomande. Federico Chiesa’s future also looks uncertain, with the Italian needing clarity after another frustrating season.
Elsewhere, Rayan is already being lined up as a possible future Bournemouth raid, while Darwin Nunez has been unexpectedly linked with a return after a difficult spell away from Liverpool.
You can only pick ONE player for Liverpool to sign this summer, who is it?
Who should Richard Hughes be targeting above all…
Trincao interest persists
Francisco Trincao remains firmly in the frame as Liverpool search for Salah’s replacement. Diomande is still the headline target, but Trincao would cost far less, with a €60m release clause and suggestions Sporting could accept below that after his 13-goal, 16-assist season.
Liverpool’s interest in Trincao looks one to watch.
Chiesa exit expectation grows
Federico Chiesa is expected to leave Liverpool this summer, despite wanting to speak with Iraola before making a final call. Fabrizio Romano says the Italian wants more consistent football after another season of limited minutes.
Slot’s departure offered a possible reset, but Chiesa leaving Liverpool still feels like the likeliest outcome unless the new head coach changes the picture quickly.

Rayan plan takes shape
A summer move looks unlikely because of his £130m clause, but Liverpool tracking Rayan makes plenty of sense long term.
The interest in Rayan is expected to firm up, but probably not until January 2027 at the earliest. Iraola is a big admirer of the Bournemouth attacker, and the Reds already had him on the radar before hiring the Spaniard.
Nunez return rumour emerges
Darwin Nunez being linked with a Liverpool return is the strangest story here. The Uruguayan has endured a difficult spell at Al Hilal and could reportedly become available at low cost, possibly even on a free.
A reunion still feels unlikely, but Nunez wanting Liverpool is at least one to file away.
