Liverpool’s transfer plans look unlikely to have changed too much despite the surprise decision to switch head coaches this summer.
Arne Slot has been replaced by Andoni Iraola, and although this reportedly ended interest in the likes of Denzel Dumfries and Jan Paul van Hecke from Anfield, other targets are claimed to have stayed the same.
One of these is said to be Sporting winger Francisco Trincao, who is reportedly right at the top of Liverpool‘s list of potential replacements for Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool were linked with Trincao as the season drew towards a close, and were even reported to have made contact over the 26-year-old’s signing.
That was still when Slot was preparing to oversee the summer business, but although the Dutchman has since been dismissed, Correio de Manha claim that interest in Trincao has not waned.
In fact, they report that the Portugal international is still ‘at the top of the Reds’ shopping list’ when it comes to replacing Salah this summer.
That is despite strong interest in RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, who is widely seen as being Liverpool’s number one priority for the right wing position.
Diomande will reportedly cost as much as €130m, however, while CM claim that PSG’s interest in the Ivorian is forcing Liverpool to look at targets elsewhere.
Trincao reportedly has a €60m release clause which it is claimed could be triggered this summer.
It is even reported that Sporting could do business at lower than the clause for a player who scored 13 goals and provided 16 assists last season.
Trincao is in Portugal’s squad for the World Cup, and while Sporting would reportedly prefer to make a sale after the tournament, their keenness to move the forward on makes this one to keep an eye on.
