Liverpool have made the decision to part ways with Arne Slot, and the Reds already have their eyes on three replacements.

The news that Slot has left the club broke on Saturday afternoon, with Fabrizio Romano reporting at the time that Andoni Iraola was the favourite to take over from the Premier League-winning manager.

However, the long-time AFC Bournemouth coach is not the only manager in the running for the role, with Sebastian Hoeness and Pierre Sage also being eyed.

Sebastian Hoeness and Pierre Sage considered to replace Arne Slot at Liverpool

Ben Jacobs has shared an insight into who could replace the Dutch coach via X/Twitter.

Like Romano, he mentioned that Iraola is the standout option, but Sage and Hoeness are also in the running.

Jacobs stated: “Andoni Iraola is the standout candidate to replace Arne Slot, and talks are expected to move quickly.

“Only a handful of candidates considered, including Sebastian Hoeneß and Pierre Sage.

“Iraola the clear frontrunner for the role. Arne Slot only discovered he was leaving this morning.”

Liverpool’s stance on making Oliver Glasner next manager

Another name that has previously been linked to Liverpool is Oliver Glasner.

The Austrian has won the FA Cup and Europa Conference League with Crystal Palace in the last year.

However, despite leaving Selhurst Park this summer, Alex Crook reports that he is not in the running to become the Reds’ new coach.

Crook stated: “Iraola keen to join #LFC. #CPFC aware his destination is not going to be Selhurst Park as reported on Thursday. Oliver Glasner not in Liverpool’s thinking.”
