Liverpool’s summer transfer picture continues to come together, and today’s updates point towards a club weighing up several very different decisions.
Liverpool have contract uncertainty around Ibrahima Konate, fresh midfield contingency planning if Alexis Mac Allister leaves, and more defensive recruitment links beginning to surface.
There could also be a heated race with Chelsea for a former Premier League winger.
It all adds up to another busy transfer day around Liverpool.
You can only pick ONE player for Liverpool to sign this summer, who is it?

Liverpool transfer news
Ibrahima Konate has still not signed his Liverpool extension, despite confidence that he wants to stay. The hold-up is reportedly not personal terms, but the signing-on package and agent commissions.
That does not mean the Frenchman is expected to leave, but Liverpool cannot allow it to drift for too long. The closer he gets to becoming a free agent, the more uncomfortable the situation becomes.
In attack, Francisco Trincao has been linked with Liverpool as another possible Mohamed Salah successor.

The Sporting CP winger has rebuilt his career in Portugal after a difficult spell at Wolves, and Liverpool are said to have taken concrete steps towards a deal. Chelsea are also watching him, while his release clause is reportedly worth around £52 million.
Midfield remains another area to watch. Liverpool could look beyond Adam Wharton if Mac Allister leaves, with Lamine Camara and Mamadou Sangare both mentioned as possible additions.
That feels like sensible planning rather than panic. If Mac Allister and Curtis Jones were both to go, one midfield signing would not be enough.
Who should advance into the semi-final as Liverpool’s Player of the Season?
Hugo Ekitike or Virgil van Dijk? 👀
At right-back, Givairo Read has admitted a summer transfer is likely. The Feyenoord defender has worked with Arne Slot before, which makes the Liverpool link easy to understand. There is competition, though, with Manchester City and Bayern Munich also mentioned.
Liverpool are also monitoring Lens defender Samson Baidoo, who could cost around £26m after an impressive season in France.
