Mohamed Salah’s upcoming Liverpool exit has only just been confirmed, but the club have already started looking at replacements.

With it now announced on March 24 that Salah is leaving for free, speculation about his future has started, with the Liverpool winger’s agent speaking out already.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano shared that wingers will be looked at by the Reds in the summer, and a fresh update now claims that replacements are already being sounded out.

Liverpool have already sounded out replacements for Mohamed Salah

Writing for the Daily Mail, journalist Lewis Steele shared an insight into how the current Premier League champions are already preparing for life without Salah.

He claims that discussions about the long-time Liverpool star’s future started before he went away with Egypt to compete at the AFCON.

This, of course, was just weeks after Salah hit out at the club after he was benched for a 3-3 draw with Leeds United.

Exact details of what was said about his future are not mentioned, but it does seem like those in a position of power at Anfield have known for a while that the player will be moving on.

Steele says that Liverpool will be drawing up a list of possible options and that they have already ‘sounded out replacements in recent weeks’.

Discuss: Diomande has already proven he’s the BEST replacement for Mo Salah!

Diomande, Doue, Williams and Barcola have been named as potential options…

No specific names are mentioned in the piece, but a few wingers have been mooted for a move to Merseyside going into the summer.

Yan Diomande has been linked heavily for some time now amid his excellent season with RB Leipzig.

Elsewhere, Michael Olise is a ‘dream’ target for Liverpool, though that transfer is viewed as somewhat unrealistic.

Bradley Barcola and Desire Doue have been mentioned as well, but again, those deals don’t seem too likely to get over the line, with PSG not thought to be keen on selling either player.
