Liverpool were once again well below their best when they faced Fulham in a Premier League meeting this weekend.
Under Arne Slot, the Reds have managed to go on a nine-game unbeaten run across all competitions.
However, that spell has included several draws and some kinder fixtures, such as the win over a poor Wolves team and the Tottenham clash, which ended with Spurs down to nine men.

Even before Sunday, fans weren’t happy with Slot amid several lacklustre showings in a row.
Liverpool fans want Steven Gerrard to replace Arne Slot
Now, following what was another underwhelming display against Fulham, Liverpool supporters have had enough of Slot-ball.
It has become clear that the actual results are becoming less important when the team is playing this badly.
Fans are realistic, however, and realise a top, top-level coach would be hard to appoint at this stage of the season.
As a result, many are calling for Steven Gerrard to be given the role, at least until the summer.
One fan simply wrote: “Slot hasn’t got a clue….. get Gerrard in.”
Another asked the club to make the change before a huge meeting with Arsenal this coming Thursday.
“Get Gerrard in before the Arsenal game so the players have something to fight for, please.”
A third added: “Get Gerrard in for the last months of the season, get some bloody passion back in this team. Our players are not playing for the manager and quite frankly, we are shambolic.”
“Just give it to Gerrard for the rest of the season. We don’t need a tactician, we need a manager with courage to let the players express themselves and not one who alienates half the squad,” suggested a fourth.
A sixth demanded: “Get Gerrard in until the end of the season and sack Slot.”
While another Reds fan echoed: “Bring in Gerrard as interim for the summer… this is…”

Since stepping into the management world, Gerrard has endured some mixed spells at the likes of Aston Villa and Rangers.
He has been out of work since leaving Al-Ettifaq at the beginning of 2025, but he is open to an Anfield return.
Speaking last month, Gerrard admitted he would help Liverpool in any way they wished.
He said: “I’ll be brutally, brutally honest with you. I’d help Liverpool in any department at any minute of every day. I’d help them with anything.
“I don’t want Arne Slot to lose his job. I want him to fix this and turn it around and make Liverpool great. I was bouncing all over the city four or five months ago when Liverpool won the league.”
