Liverpool were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Crystal Palace after Oliver Glasner’s men managed to beat them 3-0.
Going into the tie, most people knew that Liverpool would have no chance of getting anything from the clash due to the team that Arne Slot chose to start.
Of course, there were some experienced heads among Liverpool’s starting XI, but the fact that Palace played with a more or less full-strength team made it feel obvious which way the game was headed.
Although some fans still have faith that Liverpool can claw their way back into the Premier League title race, as each game goes by, that’s starting to feel less likely.

That is, especially after the latest statistic to have emerged from Anfield.
Liverpool have now lost more games than any other team in Europe’s top five leagues since 27 September
Everyone knows that times have been tough for the Reds over the last month or so, with Liverpool’s defeat against Palace just the tip of the iceberg.
Whether that’s because their players aren’t living up to the standards expected of them or because there’s no chemistry among their ranks, things just aren’t going well for Liverpool.
And now, Opta have shared a statistic via their X account which should have fans extremely worried.
“Since the 27th September, Liverpool have lost more games than any other side in Europe’s big-five leagues in all competitions (6),” they wrote.
“Worrying.”
Not only does this show how below-par Liverpool have been, but it also outlines how much work Slot actually has to do to get things back on track at Anfield.
Liverpool need their players to start firing as soon as possible
A lot of these underwhelming performances are likely down to the lack of form that most of their players have been in.
Players such as Alexander Isak and Mohamed Salah have been nowhere near their usual standards, and because of this, the rest of Liverpool’s team are suffering.
Of course, the performances of their defence cannot be forgotten about either, especially since Ibrahima Konate is in some of his worst form ever.

Unless Slot can rally his troops and get them back to being dominant soon, they may as well kiss their Premier League title hopes goodbye.
Liverpool’s fans don’t need to properly panic just yet, but if November ends up like October for the Reds, there’s no knowing how far they could fall and what other competitions they could drop out of.
