Sir Kenny Dalglish has admitted that it’s “amazing” that people are telling Arne Slot to revisit everything at Liverpool after only just winning the Premier League.
Indeed, times have been tough at Liverpool lately, but that doesn’t mean that everything the Dutchman has worked on should be thrown out of the way.
He’s added several new faces to his first-team squad this summer, and although it sounds like an excuse, they’re all going to take time to gel with one another.
Alexander Isak and Mohamed Salah have been the ones in the spotlight recently, with neither of them hitting the heights of last season.
However, since both are trying to get used to new players around them, they should be cut some slack.

For some fans, however, it feels like they want instant gratification, with Dalglish left baffled by the sudden demand for change.
Kenny Dalglish says all Arne Slot can do is continue winning at Liverpool to prove his worth
Losing four games in a row isn’t much fun for any team.
However, when Liverpool lost four in a row, it was a massive scene due to how dominant they’ve been over the last few years.
And now, while speaking to The Guardian, former Liverpool boss Dalglish has given his thoughts on Slot and people’s opinions about his work.
“Amazing, isn’t it, Arne had a great season last season. And all of a sudden, within two months, everything needs revisiting. I’m not talking about him, I’m talking about people’s opinions,” he said.
“He only made two signings last year. [Giorgi] Mamardashvili, the [reserve] goalkeeper, and [Federico] Chiesa. This year he spends a few quid and after two months they’re saying he should do this, he should do that.
“But if he hadn’t bought anybody, they’d say: ‘Why didn’t he buy?’ The only way he can win is to win games. And that was a great result [in Frankfurt].”
Arne Slot still has plenty of time to get Liverpool back on track
As mentioned, things haven’t been easy for Liverpool this season, with players seeming to get chopped and changed at every moment.
The start to the Reds’ 2025-26 campaign was impeccable, with the club winning all five of their first Premier League games.
However, up until Liverpool’s 5-1 thrashing of Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League, everything was going in a downward spiral and pointed towards the Reds not even being contenders for the title.

But, with Slot’s new system working against Frankfurt and creating more chances than most other Liverpool games this season, it could be a turning point in the campaign for the Anfield outfit.
And if not, then there’s always the January transfer window that the Reds can look forward to.
