Liverpool are now gearing themselves up to face Manchester United on Sunday.
The Reds’ first Premier League game back after the international break is set to be against their arch-rivals, with neither club in the best run of form.
On the face of things, it feels like Liverpool should be able to easily overcome the Red Devils, but when their last three performances are taken into account, anything is possible.

All of Arne Slot’s men will need to be on top form, which is why it’s a tad concerning that one Liverpool ace has admitted that he’s exhausted after representing his country.
Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai is exhausted from the international break
Apart from his last game or two, Dominik Szoboszlai has been one of Slot’s best players.
The midfielder has often been used out of position by Liverpool this term, but for Hungary, he’s been used in his favoured midfield role.
He’s managed to have yet another solid stint away from Liverpool, with the former RB Leipzig man contributing to two goals across both games.
And now, speaking to Hungarian outlet Nezmeti Sport, Szoboszlai shared how he’s actually feeling about his recent performances as well as his fitness.
“I’m proud of this whole team! We fought all the way through the game! We started well, there was a slight dip in our game, but then we got ourselves together,” he said.
“I can only say positive things. My goal depended on the fact that I was so tired that I couldn’t go for the short one anymore. I hoped it would come for the long one.
“I was confident until the end that we would manage to equalise.”
Arne Slot cannot continue using Dominik Szoboszlai out of position
Szoboszlai was brought in for around £60million from Leipzig, with the Hungarian being brought in to help bolster the Reds’ midfield ranks.
And, while most of his time has been spent in those advanced positions for Liverpool, this season, things have changed.
Indeed, a lot of this was down to the injuries that Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley suffered, but even now, both defenders are fit, Slot has still chosen Szoboszlai over the duo.

However, after putting in two rather impressive performances for his country over the last week or so, it’s clear that Slot is wasting his talents by using him at right-back.
At the moment, it’s anyone’s guess what could happen against Man United, but if Liverpool use Szoboszlai in his natural position, they’re much more likely to win the game than they would be if they used him at right-back.
