Liverpool were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea in their Premier League clash on Saturday.
This is now the third game in a row that Arne Slot’s men have lost, with their previous two defeats coming against Crystal Palace and Galatasaray.
In the end, the result was a fair one, with Chelsea being the better team of the two throughout most of the clash.
Indeed, the game could have ended in Chelsea’s favour in a fairer way rather than a last-minute winner, but with the luck that the Anfield outfit had at the start of the season, it feels like this is karma.

It’s clear that Slot is willing to try different things to get the most out of his players, but while live on Sky Sports, Daniel Sturridge shared that he thinks the Dutchman made a rather big mistake when choosing his starting XI.
Daniel Sturridge thinks Florian Wirtz should have started v Chelsea
After the summer transfer window that Liverpool had, many expected them to be the team to beat.
And, while this seemed to be the case at the start of the season, their last few performances have been the complete opposite of that.
It feels like Liverpool have no vision and no plans when going forward, which is a massive cause for concern.
Sturridge shared these same concerns with the former Liverpool striker saying that the Reds should’ve started Florian Wirtz against the Blues.
“I think today’s the type of game you need a Wirtz, someone who can create something, get the ball in his feet, move it, advance it, maybe win a free-kick,” he said on Sky Sports.
“Szoboszlai gives you that running and pressing power, but these are the games they signed Wirtz for; the quality on the ball he brings is exceptional.”
Liverpool need to find a regular starting XI so that they can gel quicker
One of the main problems Liverpool are facing this season is that their first-team squad isn’t managing to gel.
Although all the new players that have been brought in will have no doubt improved their ranks, the fact that none of them have any sort of harmony yet is concerning.
However, the gelling of the team hasn’t been helped by the fact that Slot keeps choosing to change his starting XI each game.
Of course, some players should get dropped after poor performances, but the fact that several players are being changed in almost every game is far from ideal.

The international break is now upon us, and, judging from the past, things aren’t likely to go any better for the club upon their return.
However, after their last three games, it’s been made more than clear that if Liverpool don’t find some sort of harmony soon, things will turn sour at Anfield rather quickly.
