Liverpool spent over £400million on trying to improve their ranks this summer.
Players such as Alexander Isak were brought in, with many thinking that the Reds would be almost unbeatable this season.
However, Crystal Palace have managed to prove that this isn’t true as they’ve beaten them twice this season.
Of course, players still need time to gel and to get used to how one another play, but there have been a couple of members from Liverpool’s first-team squad who should have done better.

In fact, Chris Sutton actually believes that Arne Slot isn’t all that keen on one of the signings he made this summer.
Chris Sutton doesn’t think that Arne Slot is happy with Jeremie Frimpong
Jeremie Frimpong was the Reds’ first signing of the transfer window.
The Dutchman was brought in as a direct replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who chose to join Real Madrid upon the expiry of his contract.
Although Frimpong started well with Liverpool, his injury hindered his progress, and since then, both Dominik Szoboszlai and Conor Bradley have been chosen over the former Bayer Leverkusen man at right-back.
In fact, while speaking on BBC Sport’s Football Daily Podcast, Sutton thinks that Frimpong’s “poor defending” is one of the main reasons why Slot isn’t all that keen on him.
“But the reason I say that is in the second half, he made substitutions and he put Szoboszlai to right back. He took Bradley off, Szoboszlai to right back and Frimpong stayed on the bench,” he said.
“He eventually did come on and was part of that, you know, his poor defending.
“It was amazing, and that’s probably why he’s not having him because that was an amazing decision from Frimpong in that moment to actually even have in his mind to start moving forward when his job as a right back is to, you know, essentially defend.
“He left and kept here alone, and the finish was brilliant, but that was down to him.”
Jeremie Frimpong was the perfect replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool
Although fans were rather upset about Alexander-Arnold swapping Anfield for the Bernabeu, Richard Hughes and Slot managed to find a perfect replacement for him in Frimpong.
The Dutchman brings the same assets to Liverpool’s team as the Englishman did, with his attacking prowess one of the main aspects of his game.
Indeed, his defensive work could do with improvement, but due to his speed, if he makes a mistake, he’ll more often than not be able to recover the ball and get things going again.

Frimpong only cost around £35million as well, so it shows how much of a bargain he actually was.
At the moment, it’s anyone’s guess what could happen with the Dutchman in the future, but with Bradley and Szoboszlai now competing for the right-back spot, he’ll certainly have to find some consistency in his performances.
