Jurgen Klopp is one of the most important figures in the history of Liverpool Football Club.

The German coach changed the entire culture of the Merseyside club after years of limited success and throughout his nine years with the Reds, delivered every trophy possible to the Anfield faithful.

Klopp ended Liverpool’s 30-year wait for a Premier League title back in 2020, but due to the COVID pandemic, it was the one trophy the 57-year-old never got to celebrate.

With Arne Slot’s side close to delivering the Merseyside outfit’s 20th Premier League crown, Klopp stated last month that he will be at Anfield when Liverpool lift the trophy on the final day of the season against Crystal Palace.

It remains uncertain if that will happen, although Liverpool have made another announcement that gives fans of the Reds a clue.

Jurgen Klopp to return to Liverpool in May

A part of Liverpool’s success this season can be put down to the squad Klopp left behind for Slot as the Reds only added Federico Chiesa to their ranks last summer.

Klopp has been in contact with Slot throughout the season to praise the Dutch coach’s work and interactions like this would certainly have given the current Liverpool boss a boost on occasions where he may have needed it.

After such a successful season, Klopp will return to Liverpool on Friday, May 23 as the German will be the guest speaker at the LFC Foundation Gala Dinner at Liverpool Cathedral, the club have confirmed.

“Everyone knows how much I love the work of the LFC Foundation, ” Klopp said about the occasion via The Athletic. “I can’t wait to join them to celebrate that work and help to raise important funds for them to continue the incredible things they are doing.”

That event is on the same weekend when Liverpool host Crystal Palace on the final weekend of the Premier League season and it remains to be seen if the legendary coach will be there when the Reds lift their 20th English top-flight title.

Jurgen Klopp sent an invite from Liverpool

Many Liverpool players still miss Klopp and will be delighted to have him present at the final game of the season when some of the Reds’ current stars will get their hands on a second Premier League medal.

The report states that Klopp has been invited to the final game of the 2024/25 campaign against Crystal Palace at Anfield, but it remains uncertain whether the German coach will attend.

The 57-year-old has not been back for a match since the end of his memorable eight-and-a-half-year reign last May and if he does show up, the likelihood of Klopp attending the parade the following day is also high.

The final weekend of the Premier League season is set to be a memorable one for a generation of Liverpool fans and it will be extra special should footage emerge of the best coach they have seen in their lifetime enjoying himself in the celebrations.
