The Reds could be in for yet another summer of change under Arne Slot.
Liverpool’s ongoing contract situation with Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold has left the club in limbo heading into the summer.
They however aren’t the only players FSG have to worry about, with the futures of many of the Liverpool squad remaining up in the air.
Two examples are Andy Robertson, whose deal ends in 2026, and Kostas Tsimikas who has two years remaining on his contract.
With the futures of both left-backs in doubt, it seems like Liverpool are keen on keeping one player in particular.

Kostas Tsimikas ‘more likely’ to leave Liverpool this summer
Liverpool have the second-best defensive record in the Premier League so far this campaign, that is despite their issues at left-back.
Robertson has struggled at times this season, meanwhile, Tsimikas has admitted to a ‘tricky period’ under Slot.
With that being said, it seems like the Reds have already made their minds up about who they want to keep at left-back – with Roberston likely to remain at Anfield over Tsimikas.
That is according to Gregg Evans from The Athletic, who stated:
“His contract expires in the summer of 2026 and Robertson is in no rush to leave. A short-term extension is plausible. Finding a buyer for Kostas Tsimikas is more likely than moving on Robertson.”
Tsimikas has stepped up for Liverpool in big moments this campaign, particularly at Nottingham Forest away. Slot however doesn’t seem keen on the Greek international.
Liverpool need to manage Robertson’s minutes
If Tsimikas is to exit Merseyside this summer, Liverpool need to make left-back reinforcements a major priority during the transfer window.
Now 30 years old, age is finally starting to catch up with the Scotsman – something that isn’t helped by Roberston’s unrelenting schedule.

Jamie Carragher claimed Robertson needed help during the January window, FSG however would refrain from signing any new defenders.
The Reds though do seem to recognise the problem, with Liverpool targeting a move for Jorrel Hato this summer – someone who could play as a much-needed backup and understudy to Robertson.
