The right-back’s start at Anfield was his 250th Premier League appearance at just 26 years old, making him the youngest Reds player in competition history to reach that figure – beating Steven Gerrard’s previous record.
Having only been 18 years old when he made his Premier League debut, it was only a matter of time before Alexander-Arnold leapfrogged the Liverpool icon’s record.
Mohamed Salah equals Gerrard penalty record
Mohamed Salah made history against Everton in the Merseyside derby and he again would write himself into the Liverpool history books against Wolves.
Dimitar Berbatov praised Salah’s performance at Anfield after the 32-year-old scored his 23rd league goal of the season.
The Egyptian’s goal would come from the penalty spot, with that being his 32nd penalty goal since arriving in Merseyside.
Salah’s goal would see him become the joint-highest penalty scorer for Liverpool in the Premier League – equalling Gerrard’s record of 32 in the process.
