The 2024/25 campaign looks set to be a special one for Liverpool and Arne Slot.
The Reds currently sit top of the Premier League after 21 matches and have secured their spot in the Champions League last 16, while remaining in both domestic cup competitions.

This was unexpected from the majority of Liverpool fans as many expected Slot to struggle having to follow in the footsteps of Jurgen Klopp.
The German coach’s time at Anfield was beyond memorable as Liverpool won everything under the former Borussia Dortmund boss and were consistent challengers for the biggest trophies on offer.

The Reds are likely to play more games than their closest title rivals Arsenal and a recent change to the fixtures highlights problems that lie ahead.
Fixture congestion could have a big impact on Liverpool’s title hopes
It was announced this week that Liverpool’s Premier League trip to Aston Villa will now kick off at 12.30pm on Saturday, March 15 after being selected for broadcast by TNT Sports.
However, the match could be moved again if either Aston Villa have to play in the next round of the Champions League the Wednesday before or if Liverpool reach the Carabao Cup final, which is being played at Wembley on March 16.
This highlights the problems being in all competitions can have and it is more worrying for Liverpool as Slot has not rotated much this season.
Slot has got the best out of Ryan Gravenberch this season according to Jamie Carragher, however, the Dutch star is the perfect example as the midfielder has featured in every Premier League and Champions League match for the Reds.
In this specific case, the 12.30pm kickoff also doesn’t help, a time slot Jurgen Klopp hated TNT Sports for during his time at Liverpool.
Fixture congestion is a major factor that Slot has to keep on top of as it hampered the Merseyside club in 2022 and 2024, which Mikel Arteta will hope for after his latest Liverpool comments.

The 2021/22 campaign was a special one in the history of Liverpool as heading into the final month of the season, the Reds looked closer than anyone to winning the quadruple as Klopp’s men would play every single game possible during that term.
Klopp and Liverpool would push for the quadruple, however, the dream would never become a reality as fatigue would kick in.
The Merseyside club would go on to win the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, but would ultimately fall short to Man City in the Premier League before suffering defeat at the hands of Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Paris
It was not just physical fatigue that kicked in for Liverpool that season but also mental, as it was draining for Klopp’s squad to keep going every single week.
That is a possibility for Slot’s men throughout the remainder of the current campaign, although with the Dutch coach’s style of play being less intense, that is a factor that will only become known as time goes on.
