Arne Slot creates further history at Liverpool

Liverpool have won 20 of their 24 games across all competitions under Slot and have lost just one – which was a 1-0 Premier League defeat at Anfield against Nottingham Forest in mid-September.
The Reds lead the way in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League and are dreaming of silverware at the end of the season.
After spearheading his side to a win against the Saints, Slot reached 20 wins as Liverpool boss and became the first manager since William Sudell to do so in as little as 24 games, with the Preston North End manager achieving the feat in 1889.
Liverpool also recorded 20 games unbeaten in the same season for the first time since 1996, which is a sign that things are going in the right direction at Anfield.
What next for Liverpool?
In the Premier League, the Reds’ lead at the top of the table has been reduced to two points as Chelsea are breathing down their necks.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 1 | 15 | 11 | 3 | 1 | 31 | 13 | 18 | 36 | |
| 2 | 16 | 10 | 4 | 2 | 37 | 19 | 18 | 34 | |
| 3 | 16 | 8 | 6 | 2 | 29 | 15 | 14 | 30 | |
| 4 | 16 | 8 | 4 | 4 | 21 | 19 | 2 | 28 |
However, Liverpool do have a game in hand and can extend the lead to five if they get all three points, which is still a good position to be in.
Jamie Carragher wants Liverpool to win the Premier League this season and recently urged Slot to ditch the domestic cups to get his hands on the title.
With an away clash against Tottenham Hotspur on the horizon followed by games against Leicester City and West Ham United before the turn of the year, Liverpool can put themselves in the driving seat once again with three wins.
