Mohamed Salah’s agent responds to Liverpool fans and clears up cryptic social media post

The November international break gives Liverpool the perfect chance to get ahead in contract discussions.

With the end of the year now in sight, the Reds are not far off allowing three of their best players to go within six months of becoming free agents.

Given the form of Mohamed Salah in particular right now, that is a reality that every Liverpool fan will be hoping to avoid.

Salah has been exempt from representing Egypt during the current break, meaning that the 32-year-old will possibly be staying on Merseyside to continue contract talks instead.

One man – perhaps the only man – who will be heavily involved negotiations to keep Salah at Anfield will be the Egyptian’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa.

And as talks continue behind closed doors, Issa has once again been interacting with Liverpool fans desperate to know what’s going on with his client.

Ramy Abbas Issa makes Mohamed Salah point

By now, plenty of Liverpool fans will be completely familiar with Issa. The agent has been with Salah since before he even arrived at Anfield in 2017.

In the intervening years, Issa has often used social media to make a point about Liverpool’s No.11 or to deny transfer rumours and such like.

And with Salah’s future such a big topic right now, the Colombian born representative has been at it again.

On Wednesday, Issa retweeted his own post from September the 12th which read: “FYI – all those ‘journalists’ who imply having ‘inside information’ about Mohamed’s future are making claims/posts based on absolutely nothing. Just click-whoring. “Sources close to Mohamed” don’t exist. This post is really just to tell you that they don’t know.”

Noticing the new post, Liverpool fan site The Redmen TV openly queried what it could mean.

Issa then replied, clearing up any questions over what he might be trying to imply or whether there could be any hidden meaning.

“It really is just to say they don’t know,” he said.

Issa shows respect to Liverpool fans

While we can only speculate as to what’s really going on behind closed doors where Salah’s contract is concerned, this is still nice to see from Issa.

It is not often that an agent will interact with fans so publicly, especially for a star as big as Mo.

People will read plenty into Issa’s posts until we know what’s happening either way with Liverpool’s Egyptian King, but it’s clear that the player and his agent have a tonne of respect for Reds supporters.

Issa clearly has some strong feelings towards the journalists reporting on Salah’s situation, so for him to take the time to try and clear things up a little for fans is a really nice touch.

As we wait to see whether Salah stays or goes, it’s always worth keeping an eye on what his agent is up to online. There’s plenty to run in this story yet.
