Liverpool are absolutely flying under Arne Slot and it could be argued that things couldn’t have gone any better for the Dutchman since he took over the reigns from Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds have won 15 of their 17 games across all competitions this season and find themselves at the top of the table in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

Expectations have naturally risen after what has turned out to be a historic start for Slot, with the fans now dreaming of winning silverware at the end of the season.

And Mohamed Salah has just said something the Anfield faithful will absolutely love to hear.

Having won seven major trophies and been involved in several Premier League title races and deep European runs, Salah knows what it takes to compete at the top.

Liverpool are currently five points clear of Manchester City and are well positioned to mount a title challenge.

When asked by Kelly Cates what the Reds’ ambitions are currently after their stunning start to life under Slot, Salah had a rather emphatic response.

“Win it all,” said Salah in a Liverpool roundtable with Andy Robertson and Alisson Becker.

“I work so hard every day and I hate the idea that we’re underdogs. We have an incredible group – in each position, we have players who are among the top three in the world so why don’t we win it?

“This city and this club has to always fight for everything.”

Salah’s stats this season

After his fantastic showing against Aston Villa, Salah became the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to record at least ten goals and assists apiece this season, although reported Liverpool target Omar Marmoush joined him on the list shortly afterward.

The Egyptian has been in fantastic form under Slot and has featured in every Liverpool game under the new manager, scoring ten goals.

Salah’s defiant message is proof that he adores the club and the rest of the Liverpool players need to rally behind the Egyptian to ensure a special season is on the cards for the Anfield faithful.
