The Liverpool players out on international duty is in the double-digits once again this November.
With the Reds sitting top of the Premier League and the Champions League, a pause in the season comes at an unwelcome time.
While the likes of Alisson Becker recover from injury back home on Merseyside, Arne Slot will be desperate to avoid any further issues while his Liverpool squad are away with their nations.
In all, counting young Trey Nyoni, Liverpool have 17 players out on duty, 14 of those representing senior squads.
One player called up for his nation’s under-age team is Jarell Quansah, who joined up with England’s U21 along with Reds teammate Tyler Morton.
However, despite Quansah having a disappointing season so far, the 21-year-old was surprisingly spotted training with the England men’s team on Tuesday. Here’s why.

Jarell Quansah trains with England
Quansah has of course been in and around the Three Lions squad in the past.
The Liverpool centre-back was named on Gareth Southgate’s long list for the European Championship in the summer.
At that time, Quansah absolutely deserved his call-up. The Liverpool academy graduate was flying, playing week-in-week-out for the Reds alongside Virgil van Dijk. However, fast forward just six months or so, and Quansah’s picture looks very different.
Given his struggles, it was a welcome surprise to see Quansah lining up in England training alongside Curtis Jones.

The defender has just four appearances to his named this season, with two starts in the Carabao Cup, one in the Premier League and a cameo in the Champions League.
But according to liverpool.com, Jarell should not get used to it. They claim that Quansah was called up to fill in after Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite ‘sat out’ of Tuesday’s session.
Despite his role in training, though, it’s also reported that Liverpool’s No.78 will likely not travel for Thursday’s game with Greece and will instead link back up with the U21s.
Who else is on the road for Liverpool?
With so many Liverpool players featuring for their countries – and many set to take up important roles – this will be a nervous couple of weeks for fans.
The only Reds players who are not involved – and not injured – are Mohamed Salah, Vitezslav Jaros and Joe Gomez.
Other than that trio, everyone who could be picked was picked for their countries.
In particular fans will be especially worried about Liverpool’s South American trio. Alexis Mac Allister has looked leggy recently but will still be available for Argentina’s games against Paraguay and Peru.
Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz face off as Uruguay host Colombia, before Nunez and his countrymen take on Brazil and Colombia host Ecuador.
