Liverpool hosted Aston Villa this weekend in the Premier League, with Mohamed Salah once again in the starting XI for the Reds.
The Egyptian international has been in sensational form under Arne Slot this season, with Fulham captain Tom Cairney recently sharing why Salah is one of the hardest attackers in the world to stop as an opposing player.
With the winger’s contract expiring at the end of this season, though, there is a real worry that the former AS Roma star could leave Anfield for nothing, with FC Barcelona interested in signing Salah as a free-agent next summer.
And Liverpool fans have now sent a clear message to FSG over Salah’s future on Merseyside.

Liverpool fans send Salah contract message to FSG
As reported by the Daily Mail’s Lewis Steele, Liverpool fans in the Kop unfurled a banner aimed towards FSG pleading for Salah to be handed a new contract, with the message saying: “FSG, he fires a bow… now pay him his dough.”
With Al-Hilal looking to sign Salah early ahead of next summer’s FIFA Club World Cup, there is mounting pressure for the Reds to do all they can to award the 32-year-old attacker a new contract.

And with fans now sending a clear and obvious message to FSG at Anfield in one of the biggest games of the season, Liverpool’s owners could start feeling the pressure to make a definitive decision on Salah’s future.
Indeed, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk in the same position as Salah, losing all three players would be a disaster for Liverpool, and keeping hold of the Egyptian would be a huge boost for the Reds going into next season.

How good has Salah been this season for Liverpool?
Salah has been exceptional for Liverpool in their runs to the top of the Premier League and UEFA Champions League tables, with the winger showing no sign of slowing down.
| Mohamed Salah’s 2024/25 stats | Games played | Goals | Assists |
| Premier League | 11 | 7 | 6 |
| UEFA Champions League | 4 | 1 | 4 |
| League Cup | 2 | 1 | 0 |
| Total | 17 | 9 | 10 |
And as per the attacker’s stats in all competitions, Salah is simply way too good for Liverpool to even consider releasing next summer, with the forward still one of the best in the world in his positon.
And with Liverpool fans letting their thoughts on Salah’s contract situation known, FSG need to ensure they do all they can on their part to keep the winger at Anfield, where the Egyptian could want to stay.
